Home Support Assessments (RAS) for My Aged Care Gateway programme

It is now 30 years since the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program commenced in 1985. As a reform then arising out of the residential aged care sector, the home and community care (HACC) sector is now going through its own reform. The Australian Government is commencing a brand new Commonwealth Home Support Program from 1 July 2015. As part of this historical reform, for the first time assessment will be separated from service delivery, under a new independent aged care gateway, called My Aged Care.

Care Assess is the only local organisation of 13 organisations nationally selected to provide Regional Assessment Services on behalf of the Australian Government’s new My Aged Care Gateway Programme, and has been awarded a majority of home support assessments across each of Tasmania’s three regions. It is both a privilege and an honour to serve Tasmania in this way!
