VHC Assessment Agency for Tasmania
From 15 April 2013, Care Assess commenced an expanded role as Tasmania’s Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) Assessment Agency, having been also contracted by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to provide Assessment and Coordination of the VHC Program for Northern and North Western regions in Tasmania, in addition to Southern Tasmania.
Commencing in 2000, Care Assess first began this role when we were contracted by DVA as the VHC Assessment Agency for Southern Tasmania. For more information about this service, see Veterans’ Home Care.
We now operate this role state-wide in each of the three VHC Regions in Tasmania, performing needs-assessments and service-coordination, contracting services to approximately a dozen VHC approved service providers who deliver the care across the State.
Currently Care Assess manage approximately 2200 Entitled Persons in the Veterans Home Care Program in Tasmania. To find out more about this program, please see Veterans’ Home Care.
