Now a Disability Care Provider

27 Feb 2015 posted by:

Care Assess has registered and been approved as a Provider with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

As a new disability care provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Care Assess will bring our points of difference to disability clients and the disability sector across Tasmania.

We will initially provide the following supports (before broadening our service delivery scope):

  • Specialised assessment of skills, abilities and needs
  • Community nursing care for high care needs
  • Therapeutic supports
  • Assistance in coordinating or managing life stages, transitions and supports
  • Physical wellbeing activities

We want people with disabilities and their carer(s) to benefit from our existing experience in wellness and reablement; we know that we can make a positive difference in improve people’s health and wellbeing, and we’re excited about the benefits that our focus on enablement can bring to the sector.

It’s about enhancing the abilities of people with a disability, not only responding to their inabilities.

All of our allied health care staff are particularly excited, including our exercise physiologists and occupational therapists, about broadening our previous focus on aged care to a much wider horizon.

After all, that’s our vision: to enable more people to live well at home across Tasmania.
